Stockholm which took place at the end of August. This year`s theme was : Peace, Civil
Society and the Environment”
The WPA conference brought together individuals dedicated to the common goal of
promoting peace, allowing for meaningful exchanges and collaboration. As speakers,
award winners and attendees shared their visions for peace and a harmonious world the
atmosphere was charged with inspiration, creativity and unity. The conference also
emphasized the role of culture, music and the arts to bring about a peaceful world. Great
performances were made all though the conference.
One of the Awardwinners was Master Amnart, a buddist munk and a great international
painter. He showed some of his paintings and all carried a peace greeting. An invitation
was later extended to visit the Dillich Castle in Germany where he has a permanent art
exhibition.
Britta Houston in her speech, highlighted the commitment of Wfwp in promoting
international dialogue and cooperation for a brighter, more peaceful future and used the
metaphore that each person has to be a lighthouse built on a solid rock, lightening up the
dark world and saving lives on the turbulent waves of the ocean.
The five-day conference concluded with a captivating cruise to Tallin, Estonia. The time spent
together on the boat created deep connections and heartfelt discussions among participants.
