On the 21st June 2015, at the Ambassadors for Peace’s site in Rome, a “Family Festival” was held in collaboration between WFWP and FFPWU. The morning consisted of a meeting with the title “The family’s role towards a multicultural society.” Where they spoke about diversity as well as the importance of parents and the education they can give to their children with regards to others.
Lunch was served outside under a pergola, after which there were games organised by the youth. Everyone participated joyfully, children and parents together. It was a lovely festival in honour of the family and fundamental values for a healthy society characterized by it.
Elisabetta Nistri, President of WFWP, wanted to use this occasion to give a thought and a message towards Nepal’s population which was harshly hit by the recent earthquakes. She invited everyone to visit the stand set up for fundraising in favour of WFWP Nepal that is supporting various projects for families in need of help.
Through this national fundraiser along with generous contributions from WFWP Bergamo and some supporters, we were able to offer a total of 700 Euros that will be used for projects of which we will soon have more the information.
