Marta de Carvalho - WFWP Portugal was invited to introduce WFWP in Angola. She sent us this detailed report:
‘I met the Director of CDAAC - a Medical Clinic from Cabinda/ Angola,Dr. Maria Lina Sambo, who was very inspired about WFWP and invited me to Angola to introduce WFWP there. I left Lisbon at 25 March 2014 morning and arrived in Luanda the next day in the evening. We then travelled to Cabinda. By morning on 27th March 2014 we went to a small tour around Cabinda till the border of Congo with 2 more ladies. At 3 o´clock pm I had my first speech in Diocese of Cabinda to the Pupil of Joao Paulo II´s College where more then 250 people were waiting. There I introduced WFWP and its founders, and after I introduced the history of International Women's Day because of women's month. Later I spoke about the Value, Identity and Dignity of Women and also spoke about the 4 levels of love where I emphasised of the special characteristics of married love level. Later one of our UPF's Members there (Professor Dr. Joaquim Rodrigues) I asked before spoke about character education, which material I took from Portugal and the Provincial leader (Andre Penge) read the Co-founder homage. Then I offered one book from Autobiography of the Co-Founder to the college's library which was given it´s Director. And after the peoples´s approval and her acceptance, I nominated Dra. Maria Lina Sambo as Ambassador for Peace. She was very pleased and touched, and in her thankful brief speech she explained how did we meet and why she invited me. After, the Director of the college did a brief but nice congratulatory' speech and let the pupil know that the matters we spoke there would probably be spoken in the scholarly text. We ended this event with a photo session and the interview to Eclesia´s Radio (me and Dra. Maria Lina). It was really very interesting and good experience to everyone. By morning of 28th March I gave my 2nd speech to OMA (Angolan Women´s Organization) in the Provincial Seat of the Government Party, where I spoke about Women's Dignity and emphasised the importance of marriage love level. I also spoke of International Women´s Day history, and Dr. Joaquim Rodrigues read Co-founder's homage. In the end we took photos from the event. The place was dignified and many people had never been there before so, it was a great honour for WFWP. On Sunday 29th March we had a special lunch offered by an elder Peace Ambassador in her grand and beautiful house (Dra Olivia Rocha), and on March 30th we got 3 religious services which each one was around two hours and half, so we took all day on this. We went to Evangelic Service because of the Funeral of Dra. Lina´s aunt... So all together we joined to more then 350 people in this day... On April 1st I went to CDAAC's Medical Clinic from Dr. Lina to have my last speech, There I was for 2 hours and spoke to 42 people (Doctors, Nurses and Auxiliaries). Here I also introduced the WFWP, its Founders and the International Woman's Day history. Then I spoke about Human Dignity and the effects of give and take of human actions and emphasised about the importance of working by love. After the Director's appeal, I nominated two EP (one Doctor from Cuba who works there and a Nurse from Cabinda). In end the Dr Lina, as the director of this medical clinic opened her heart to the employers with strong emotion. We ended with a photo session. Early 2nd of April 2014 we (me and Dr Lina) went to airport to catch the plane back to Luanda and in our arrival I asked one of our members in Luanda (Dr. Patricio Mangovo) to take us to the national leaders (Pedro and Makiese Monica Kinambuta), where I got chance to visit the national center and although we have been very short time because of terrible transit in Luanda, I got chance to ask the national leaders to make the WFWP official in Angola, that was reported by Cabinda´s members. Perdo and Monica Kinambuta said that the process is already in Government for some time and promised me to see how to accelerate it as soon as possible. I gave them some prospects of WFWP´s as I did also in Cabinda. All of them asked help to get some books from our organisation and I had chance to offer 4 Autobiographies of the Co-Founder and also 4 New Hope books. On 2nd of April I got my plane back to Lisbon. In general my feeling was very positive but I am thinking how we can help there. I want to thank all those who was connected with me during my stay in Angola. Marta de Carvalho - WFWP Portugal
